AMQUA Contributes to Russian Paleontologists
Last year AMQUA gave $2000 to the Paleontological Society for research grants for
Russian scientists working on Quaternary paleontological projects. Awards went to:
Nadja Alexeeva Small mammals and their significance for paleogeographical
reconstructions and Quaternary stratigraphy
Evgeny Maschenko Historical and individual development of the genus Mammuthus
Alexei Tikhonov Excavation of Ekaryaukha mammoth "cemetery"
Zinaida Pushina Paleoecological history of the Quaternary interglacial time,
Antarctica
