Research Training
The University of Minnesota has a Research Training Group (RTG) entitled "Paleorecords of Global Change: Understanding the Dynamics of Ecosystem Response". The RTG sponsors activities that enrich educational experiences at Minnesota and make it easier for graduate students to obtain interdisciplinary training. Four-year traineeships are available for graduate study in conjunction with interdisciplinary Research Training Group (RTG) in ecology, geology, archaeology, geography, and soils to enhance training in "Paleorecords of Global Change:. Only citizens, nationals or permanent residents of the U.S. qualify for stipends. Application deadline January 2. Contact Sue Julson, RTG, University of Minnesota, Ecology, Evolution and Behavior, 1987 Upper Buford Circle, St. Paul, MN 55108; 612-624-4238; julso001@tc.umn.edu.

SEQS Eemian Bibliography
I am preparing a bibliography of the Eemian of northwest Europe for next year's SEQS Symposium. The area includes the type area, which is the North Sea basin, and further covers the Baltic and White Seas and the North European lowland. I have collected about 900 entries, but this is only a start. If you have, preferably in digital form, bibliographical data on this subject from countries in the mentioned area, please contact me.
