AMQUA's immediate Past-President Vance Holliday (University of Wisconsin, Madison) was honored last Fall by the Archaeological Geology Division and by the Quaternary Geology and Geomorphology Division of the Geological Society of America. He won both the Rip Rapp Archaeological Geology Award and the Kirk Bryan Award. Here, Vance demonstrates the proper two-step technique for changing a flat tire on a Giddings Ring trailer: (1) Use the hydraulic leg on Giddings Ring to jack the tire off the ground. (2) Point authoritatively while field assistant (Ty Sabin) changes the tire. Photo: David Meltzer
