The Quaternary Times Journals Geoarchaeology: An International Journal Geoarchaeology: An International Journal The new senior Editor-in-Chief of Geoarchaeology is Rolfe Mandel. Paul Goldberg is Co-Editor, and Ofer Bar-Yosef is the Director of the Editorial Board. Geoarchaeology is published bimonthly and has a broad, interdisciplinary scope dealing with the understanding of archaeological sites, their natural context, and the material artifacts recovered from them. Manuscripts may include subjects from disciplines within the earth sciences (e.g., geography, pedology, climatology, geology, oceanography, geochemistry, geochronology, and geophysics) or biological sciences. The editors are particularly interested in manuscripts that bear upon site-formation processes. This collection of papers highlights new research on the glacial geology, alpine flora, and Paleoindian occupation of the White Mountain region. It was prepared in cooperation with the Mount Washington Observatory and is dedicated to the memory of Richard Goldthwait and his contributions to White Mountain glacial studies.
