AMQUA 2020 Biennial Meeting

AMQUA 2020 biennial meeting organizers met March 17th to discuss the status of the June 17-20 meeting in Seattle.  A final decision on holding or cancelling/postponing the meeting will be made April 15. Because of this uncertainty, the registration and poster submission deadlines for the meeting will be extended

As noted before, several options are being considered in regard to the meeting format such as online supplementing of in-person attendance/presentation for those not able to travel, completely converting the meeting to an online venue hosted by a web-conferencing platform, or cancelling or postponing the meeting to a future date.

An informational poll is going to be sent out to the AmQua community April 6th to determine interest in attending an in-person meeting.   We will keep you updated on the status of the meeting as the COVID-19 situation evolves. As always, our primary concern is the health and well being of everyone in the AmQua community, but if the situation warrants, we are excited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of AmQua with the events planned by the Quaternary Research Center at the University of Washington.

Please continue to consult University of Washington's COVID-19 guidelines, and CDC website for the last updates and information.
